What NEMO does

The complete flight dynamics cycle, in one platform.

From mission design to in-flight operations, NEMO covers the work a flight dynamics team does every day, across LEO, GEO, cislunar and deep-space regimes.

Precise orbit determination

Process GNSS, Doppler, range, ISL and D-DOR observations with batch least-squares and Kalman filters, full uncertainty propagation and customisable parameters.

High-fidelity dynamical models

N-body gravity, spherical harmonics, relativistic effects, atmospheric drag, solar radiation pressure, albedo, thermal recoil, and chemical and electric propulsion.

Conjunction assessment and collision avoidance

Continuous conjunction monitoring, collision risk analysis, and automated planning and optimisation of collision avoidance manoeuvres.

Orbit control and constellation maintenance

Station keeping, ground-track, phasing and LTAN control, and orbital slot management for constellations.

Trajectory design and optimisation

Trajectories that balance safety, propellant consumption and mission objectives.

Built to interoperate

Standard input and output formats including TLE, CCSDS (OEM, OPM, OMM, AEM), SPK, IPF and CPF, with interfaces to Earth orientation and space weather data files. Event computation for eclipses, occultations, visibility, conjunctions and custom events.

Orbit determination, in practice

From raw tracking data to a fitted orbit.

Residuals are the differences between the measurements and what the estimated orbit predicts. Before the fit, the tangential component drifts to hundreds of metres. After it, all three components sit around zero.

RMSPre-fitPost-fit
Radial7.05 m3.76 m
Tangential357.4 m2.70 m
Cross-track1.74 m1.67 m
Residuals before the fit: the tangential component drifts to about minus 800 metres Residuals after the fit: radial, tangential and cross-track residuals centred on zero
Architecture

One core. Four ways to use it.

NEMO adapts to your team. Plug it into your own toolchain, run it from a visual interface, or let it automate routine operations for you.

FLOWWEBAPICORE
  • CORE

The flight dynamics computation engine that powers every NEMO module.

  • API

Operate NEMO and integrate it with your applications and existing workflows through an HTTP REST API.

  • WEB

A web-based graphical interface that becomes your flight dynamics cockpit: data dashboards, trajectory visualisation, mission timelines, alert management, and configuration and execution of FLOW pipelines (when used with FLOW).

  • FLOW

The automation and near-real-time processing layer that chains orbit determination, conjunction screening, manoeuvre optimisation and planning, reducing the operational load on your team.

FLOW

The power of FLOW.

When new tracking data arrives, FLOW runs the whole chain in near real time: orbit determination, conjunction screening, manoeuvre optimisation and planning, with no manual hand-off between steps.
